| Dear Marcos Almeida, We want to thank you for applying to run the 2013 ING New York City Marathon. We're very sorry, but you were not selected through our non-guaranteed entry drawing. We must limit the size of the race field for many reasons, including safety and overall runner experience. The good news is that you can still enter the race this year. One option is to apply for a Marathon Travel Package with an International Travel Partner (ITP), available in many countries outside the United States. You'll get guaranteed race entry and special benefits as part of your package. Another option is to run to make a difference by registering through NYRR'sTeam for Kids or another official charity. If you choose to join Team for Kids, you'll become part of a committed group of runners who enjoy a VIP marathon experience while raising funds that support NYRR youth programs. If you opt for one of the hundreds of other charities that make up our Official Charity Partner program, you'll receive benefits that vary according to the group you join. All charities offer the chance to make a difference when you run 26.2 miles in NYC on November 3.
